Chocolate Cherry Energy Bites

The other day my daughter asked for “chocolate balls”. We have made many different chocolate protein ball recipes in the past but I wanted to try something new. We came up with these chocolate cherry energy bites.
Chocolate Cherry Energy Bites

Ingredients
1 cup Raw almonds
2 tbsp Hemp hearts
3 tbsp Cocoa powder
2 cups or 20 Medjool dates
¼ cup Mini chocolate chips
¾ cup Dried cherries
Directions
- Add almonds, hemp hearts and cocoa powder in food processor or high powered blender and process until coarse meal texture.
- Add dates and dried cherries and process until mixture is slightly sticky and sticks together when rolling into a ball. If too dry add more Medjool dates. If too sticky add more hemp hearts.
- Add chocolate chips and mix together until combined.
- Roll into balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet.
- Place in fridge until hardened, 1 more hours. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
