Restore Your Relationship with Food
Nicole Ballantine, Registered Dietitian
Life is too short to be on a diet
Are you often stressed and overwhelmed about what to eat?
Confused by all the misinformation out there from the diet industry, unsure of who to believe?
Do you feel like a “failure” when every diet you try doesn’t deliver the promised results?
Or are you just simply, ‘sick and tired’ of being sick and tired?
It is possible to heal your relationship with food.
Take the fear and stress out of eating, so you have more time to enjoy all the other aspects of your life.
I know how hard it is. I've had my own struggles with achieving freedom around food, learning to trust myself and eating intuitively. We are all born intuitive eaters and somewhere along the way we lose trust in ourselves. I want to help people who struggle with food like I did, to find that trust again."
Nicole Ballantine, RD
Hello! I’m Nicole Ballantine
Registered Dietitian
I am a Registered Dietitian with over a decade of experience helping clients achieve their goals.
I care about my clients and their journey and I love making a difference in their lives. Seeing people healthier and happier because of a few changes they’ve made, is the whole reason I became a Registered Dietitian.
Helping clients identify foods or lifestyle patterns that work (or don’t work) with their body and lifestyle, is key. Its personalized healthy lifestyle plans that help my clients adopt the changes required to feel better at any age or size.
When I’m not working as a registered dietitian, I am the busy mother of four young children. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes and teaching the kids a thing or two in the kitchen.
I don’t judge people. We all come from different backgrounds, with different experiences, cultures and lifestyles. We each have different wants and needs. I am not here to tell you what to do, I am here to work with you to reach your goals.
- Are you sick and tired of dieting? Do you struggle with disorderd eating or feel guilty and ashamed for eating certain foods?

Client Testimonials
“When I met Nicole, I was 50 pounds overweight. I was depressed, riddled with chronic pain from osteoarthritis, and suffered from terrible heartburn. Sugary foods like cake and ice cream were my comforter. Nicole has got me on a regimen of watching my food intakes, making healthier food choices, and engaging in regular exercise. I lost 50 pounds in 6 months. My depression is now in remission. My arthritis pain is gone and I no longer have to take narcotics. I am also off my heartburn pills. I danced at my son’s wedding for the first time in 15 years. Nicole has completely changed my outlook on life.”
Whether you are trying to lose weight, improve your glycemic control if you have diabetes, or if you have a separate health goal in mind, Nicole is a wonderful resource to help you reach your target.

Intuitive eating was a concept developed by two registered dietitians Elyse Resch and Evelyn Tribole. We are all born intuitive eaters and somewhere along the road we start putting rules and restrictions on food. The diet industry is a powerful multi-billion dollar industry constantly telling us what we should and should not be eating. It’s no wonder we don’t trust ourselves around food. Intuitive eating is a non-dieting approach that teaches you to listen to, and trust, your bodies internal signals. It takes the guilt, shame, fear and judgement out of eating by honouring your hunger, respecting your fullness and taking pleasure in the foods you eat. If you are tired of jumping from one diet to the next and want to heal your relationship with food, intuitive eating may be the answer.
Over the years I have worked with clients of all ages with multiple different health conditions. From infants with poor growth to children who suffer from constipation and picky eating. I currently work in an acute care setting helping those suffering from acute and chronic diseases such as heart disease, kidney disease, IBS, disordered eating, diabetes etc. If you have a specific medical condition please contact me and I will try my best to answer your questions. I am happy to refer you to another health care professional in areas beyond my expertise.
